List "Catskill 3500" By wayfarer

Notes: This is a list of the peaks above 3,500' elevation in the Catskill Mountains of New York. There are 35 qualifying peaks with at least 200' of prominence. 16 of these peaks are considered trail-less. It should also be noted that if one wishes to become a member of the Catskill 3500 Club, they must climb Slide, Blackhead, Balsam and Panther mountains again in winter. The Club's by-laws define “winter” as the period from December 21 to March 21, regardless of the actual occurrences of the winter solstice and vernal equinox in particular years. This rule applies even if those four peaks were climbed in Winter the first time. That is to say, a total ascent of 39 peaks is required for membership. The Club also awards a separate patch for those who climb all 35 peaks during winter.
