List "Idaho's Northern Clearwater Mountains" By The Scrambler

Notes: Idaho's Clearwater Mountains are an extensive group. Consequently, I have broken them up into two subgroups: The Northern Clearwaters and the Southern Clearwaters. The Northern Clearwater Mountains are bounded by US-12 to the south and by the Saint Joe Mountains to the north. These mountains are bounded to the east by the Bitterroot Crest.

The Northern Clearwater Mountains are bounded by the North Central Hills to the west. The dividing line is a series of highways. The Northern Clearwaters lie on the east side and the North Central Hills lie on the west side. From the south end, the Northern Clearwaters are on the east (then north) side of US-12 from Kooksia to its junction with ID-3. From this junction, the Northern Clearwaters lie on the east side of ID-3 all the way north to the Saint Joe River at Saint Maries.
