Null List?

Postby Ryan Kowalski » Mon Dec 03, 2007 2:06 pm

Luke had an interesting idea yesterday: how about a list of peaks that had not been climbed? Not sure where you'd put a link to a list like this or how difficult it would be to do though.

Layne asked for this a bit ago. Of course, this is one we couldn't keep track of in terms of member totals (completing any takes them off the list) .

1384 were left as of 10/10/07. Today there are 1334 left.

Want a stunning statistic?

Chance that if Mike Garratt has not climbed a ranked Colorado peak then no other LOJ member has either: 1334/1584 = 84.2%

Data
Ranked Colorado peaks climbed by all LOJ members: 3019/4353
Ranked Colorado peaks climbed by Mike Garratt: 2769/4353

Well it figures you've already done it! Thanks for putting that link up. It's an interesting list.

Here is a quad progress map representation of unclimbed (can find from the CO Quadrangles Index page also)

Now that's a cool bunch of stuff right there! :) Thanks!

Layne - believe it or not, there are 16 JeffCo Ranked that I've done that Mr. Garratt hasn't, but he didn't even make a list. Crazy! Also, two of them are 5.9+, both of which I owe m ascent to a friend (I seconded).

Some of those peaks are prime suspects for an ascent... I'm looking at Big Rock Candy Mtn as my next "prize", although weather wise and roads, it will take a bit of no precip and warmth to get it before spring. :(

Down to 1269 now. Looks like some good ones left, too! I'll have to collect some more in the Saguache CO list. :)

Coords?

Postby Jeremy Hakes » Thu Apr 10, 2008 10:05 am

John - how much work is it to add the column for the coords for these peaks? That way we could plot them on TOPO! (or whatever) so we can locate them easier?
