South Ute Mesa (6,747') ~ Colorado's "newest" peak

Get ready to bump the rankings below 6,747' John...

I found this undocumented mountain a couple of years ago while scanning the Mesa Verde cuestas in SW Colorado. Using the interpolative saddle calc's, it has a rise of 367', though I suspect it is even greater just looking at the contours. I had selfishly wanted to be the first whitey to claim its summit and dub it "Ihinger Mesa" upon doing so (prior to revealing it's presence) but I am starting to think that the likelihood of ever being granted permission to hike on the Southern Ute Nation tribal lands is looking bleak. If anyone here has any ideas of how to get the job done, I'm still open to the possibility!

This peak can be found near the West edge of the Moqui Canyon Quadrangle, immediately North of the Mancos River.

Elevation: 6,747'
County: Montezuma
Quad: Moqui Canyon
Coords: 37.0799 N / -108.6107 W
Rise: 367'
Saddle: 6,380' (interpolated)
