Badger Mountain/Park County CO in July

Has anyone hiked up Badger Mountain directly from US Hwy 24 at the Wilkerson Pass?
I'm planning on this route in July and was wondering what other people's experiences were.
Any info would be appreciated. Thanks

I climbed this route last April, it's short and steep. Other than that it's fairly straightforward. The forest was fairly open all the way to the summit. The summit does not have the best views in the area.

I believe this route is described in the Roach book on the Lost Creek Wilderness.
