Mike Offerman completes Gilpin County Ranked Peaks List!

Postby lukePlumley » Sun Aug 21, 2011 10:23 pm

On August 21 Mike Offerman became the most recent completer of the ranked peaks of Gilpin County.

Congratulations Mike. Which peak did you finish on? Were you able to link James and Heartbeat together in a single hike? Or lots of driving?
I think you were the only member of LOJ who had not yet climbed James Peak!!!

More notably, climbing James Peak & "Heartbeat Peak" yielded a completion of all 229 peaks in Roosevelt National Forest making Mike the only person to complete this list!

Luke only has 4 left and they're all in Larimer County...

Thanks!

I finished on Heartbeat Peak hiking in from the Rollins Pass road. It was a great hike up to James and then back to Heartbeat.

I would be lying if I hadn't been looking at the Roosevelt list! I knew that both Luke and Brian were close to finishing, so figured I better get up there. Tell you what Luke, you can be the first completer on the next national forest :wicked: !

Well done Mike, another county bites the dust. Looks like you are getting close with Clear Creek also.
