South River Peak

:shh: Here's a hint for anyone climbing South River Pk. We just recently paid a visit to South River Peak via FR523 and the bushwhack down to Red Mountain Creek to shorten the trail route in from Ivy CG. I'm sure no one will want to confess to this, but the last 400 feet before the meadow, we found a series of 37 strategically placed pink, plastic ribbons to guide from the bottom of the open drainage to the meadow throught the thick timber. That was a nice help - both descending and ascending back up. Might develop into a trail of sorts some day but someone would need to clear a lot of fallen trees!
Beaten paths are for beaten men.
