Congrats to Jeremy Hakes on his completion of Douglas County! Jeremy completed today on 8790. Well done on your speedy completion of this county! Glad I was able to join for the finish.

Ha! That's funny.

First, Thanks, D. Glad you were with me for these things.

Pete - that makes 1 this year. :) I was going to finish Gilpin today on James peak, but don't feel well. I expect I will finish it in the next few weekends or so.

Luke - Thanks! :)

I plan to work on LCW, CC and close peaks, plus probably SOME Boulder CO, too. Not pursuing any as much as I did JeffCo and DougCo. Some good challenges in both!

I accept the representative gift along with the understanding that it can and will cut the crap out of me many many times, and will likely whack me in the face often as well. :-D

Way to go Jeremy! 8790 must have took too much out of you to get James the next day! I like the scrub oak leaf prize, very fitting. I posted a notice of your accomplishment on 14W before I read this thread, hope you don't mind the attention. Impressive accomplishment considering one is BRCM.

Thanks, Steve. :) Nah, I don't mind. Not too many people care, and it is a small list (not like the 13ers or something).

re: James - Didn't feel good the next morning. Honestly, I don't feel so great right now, either. Lots of crap going around... may have a touch of it. :(

Nice job Jeremy! That is an interesting county with some of the technical summits!

Thanks, Mike. Yeah, the tech summits was possibly the best part of it! Actually, there were some very nice hikes, too! Some fine scrambling, some tech ascents, and some brutal bushwacking! :?

The funniest part is how far away from a police station this is - must mean citizen's arrest? Can't catch me :disturbed: Ahem... I mean, I went around this property...

Seriously. Do they REALLY have a problem with this? :please:

I find it unlikely that the owners use the property much. I appreciate the lack of buildings and other stuff up there, though. Nice to have that backdrop when I drive by there. Really pretty, nice mountain.. hard to get to (considering its proximity to civilization).
