Pinewood Lakes quad. Steve has a trip report from 2009, but has anyone been up here recently? Google satellite imagery shows what looks like construction going on at the property, but is there a house built there yet? Drove up yesterday to find a locked gate on Eagle Ridge Rd. after the intersection with Lewis Lane with the usual warnings and implied video surveillance. Headed down Lewis Lane a bit before backing out. There is what appears to be an under construction driveway shortly after the intersection with Lewis Lane that wouldn't be visible from the top house on Eagle Ridge. It'd probably be a short jaunt over from there, unless there actually is a house there now owned by a NRA fan. Feel free to PM if you don't want to post.

I got it on January 21, 2013. The foundation was dug, but nothing was put up yet as far as I can remember. Maybe a basement was built.

I parked in a pullout almost due north of the peak. There was a road that wrapped around that side. I went up a ridge, through the woods, and crossed a fence or two, I think. I think there was a house or two in the way, but enough cover to avoid. I did it on a week day. You might want to just take the road all the way to the top and take your chances.

There is a house basically directly on the summit. I mailed the owners a letter asking to be able to drive up there (I've had really good success with that approach), but they replied with a no. Since that time I tried driving up there thinking I would just knock on their door with a bottle of wine, but I've been turned around a couple of times by locked gates. Some day the stars will align and I'll get an open gate with nobody home....

I can confirm there is still not a house on the property as of 1/8/16, as shown in the latest satellite imagery on Google Earth dated 10/15/15. But of course, the road to the top is still private. I might suggest parking downtown and running or biking up.
