John Kirk Finishes Las Animas County

On April 24th, John Kirk became the 1st person to complete the ranked peaks of Las Animas County!

Congrats John! Some great variety of peaks, glad someone finally finished the list. I enjoyed doing some of these with you. There are definitely some access challenges on the list, you pulled those off admirably.

The challenge per peak ratio is really high. If it had much more than 55 and I might not have pursued it with the required vigor. A Picketwire 40 miler, Pinon Canyon access, Culebra range 1st ascents, and some long approaches for 6ers make this a ridiculous endeavor. Hard to recommend. There's a critical piece of info that considerably eased access for two otherwise super sketchy peaks - thanks for the good memory with that Steve.
