Eureka has two distinct summits. A couple i ran into on the trail referred to them as North and South, but the ridge is almost straight east-west; just to be completely clear I'll call them the Northwest and Southeast summits. This couple told me the Southeast summit was higher. I didn't know until I arrived at the top of the NW summit that there were two summits; the SE one has a trail contouring around to it and a respectable grassy summit area, while the NW one is a tiny rock covered with sheep scat.

USGS lists the NW summit as the 13507 high point of Eureka. But I was surprised to see LoJ indicating the SE summit was higher. Now, either in the past week this has been changed or I am losing it, because looking at the quad now the NW summit is the one marked. But I figured I'd go ahead and post this anyway.

Anyway the NW summit is clearly higher.
