Ken completed Conejos county 4/9/14 and Rio Grande county 3/22/14.
Looks like Mineral might be happening rather soon as well.

Good stuff Ken! Finish up Mineral, and then you can really focus on paddling across to Curecanti Needle!

Congrats Ken! Great to see you still climbing new peaks. You've had a busy 2014 so far. Eight counties completed now, nice work!

Nice work, Ken! Hinsdale is looking quite close as well; however, 9854 could be quite challenging...

I’d climbed the alpine peaks in Rio Grande and Conejos years ago. The lower stuff is a nifty resource in winter and early spring, especially for an over-the-hill, enfeebled cripple. Most of the peaks enabled me to retain my dignity, but while hobbling up a certain low 8er near the childhood home of the Manassa Mauler, I did wear a paper bag over my head in case I ran into someone I know.

I hope to wrap up Mineral County, but that’ll likely have to wait until the Forest Service gates open for the season. Concerning Hinsdale, I recently tried to check out 9854 and its neighbor; found the road closed and under repair.

Way to go Ken! Two counties, that's great! I'm hoping to start finishing some counties this summer!

Congrats Ken! Good luck with the remaining peaks in Hinsdale and Mineral. That 9854 looks quite interesting, is the highest point really that "golfball" looking thing? Whoa!
