Pennock Pinnacle

Saw this impressive pinnacle on the way down from the Signal Mountains the other day:

There was what appeared to be anchor with some webbing hanging off the summit on the NE side. It's about 80' high, consistent with the two closed contours on the map.

Turned up no leads on an unofficial name or a route for it. No ideas from Gillett either. Anyone know more about this pinnacle?

Another online observation:

I have a Northern Co hiking book that has a photo of it, but that is about it. I have seen other trip reports that talk about it, but not climbing it.

I guess it probably refers to it as 'rock pinnacle near trail', or something similar without a "name"?

Yes, she just says "Pillar along Pennock Creek".

Joe Grim has a photo of it in his Comanche Peak Wilderness Area book, but again, only calls it a monolith.

If I had only thought to name it in the book; I could have called it whatever I wanted. :-)
