Has anyone visited the SE end of the 8040 contour? The attached image shows the view atop a large rock toward the 8092 summit. From this point it seemed clear that this point was visibly higher, but I could not prove it.

The point I think may be higher is at N40.4149 W105.3339.

I came over that point, but didn't do any hand leveling. Unfortunately it has been too long since I hiked it to remember any details.

Interestingly, we did 8092 (and Sheep & 8310) the day after you. Saw your bootprints in the snow; it looks like you did a long out and back of Sheep and 8092. Sitting at the summit of 8092, I also looked over at that rock and wondered if it was higher. Then, I noticed that Blue Mountain behind it was higher than it in my field of vision; since Blue Mountain is lower (7900'), I was able to conclude that pt. 8092 is indeed higher.

Having now seen the views from 7078 and 8310, it seems more obvious from afar that 8092 has the correct summit location.
