LOJ data loss???

Postby SarahT » Fri May 27, 2016 10:16 am

Just noticed that quite a few ascents I have logged have disappeared. Haven't done a thorough investigation but the ones I've noticed so far are all Colorado 12ers, all Colorado 13ers still intact. Anyone else have issues like this? Pretty frustrating as I've been using LOJ as my primary record. I suppose someone could have hacked in and deleted stuff but I'd be surprised if that were the case!

I have some backups and can look at restoring missing ascents from those.

I see logins this year using your username from these ip addresses; one is a proxy server (spammer) in Delaware and one is in Russia:

http://whatismyipaddress.com/ip/108.59.10.138 - April 15th
http://whatismyipaddress.com/ip/62.117.96.138 - May 5th

I highly recommend changing your password if you haven't already.

I have restored all your missing ascents via backups from inception to 4/4/2016. So you'll just need to check that you have everything logged properly after that date.

*In case anyone else is concerned, I did a full scan of historical deletions and no other user has been affected
