I'll probably hang out around Cathedral spires while you go for Banner. Yes, I would like to do Raleigh. Adam McFarrin and I were talking about that one, I'll ask if he wants to join.

edit: I forgot, he has already done them except Raleigh.

The only bummer about skipping Banner (other than completing another ranked peak, etc.) is the amazing huge boulder that sits on the saddle that you walk right by. Absolutely amazing. Split in half... super cool boulder. I thought I had a pic of it on SP.com, but can't find it...

Dwight, Thanks for inviting me aboard this trip. I'd probably be interested in Raleigh, Bishop and Cathedral Spires.

Jeremy, I think this is the huge split rock you mentioned on the way to Banner:

Cathedral Spires should either be first or last so as not to require a double-back, same with Banner. I suppose it could work to go for Bishop first, then we split up and meet at Cathedral Spires after return from Banner... "The Bishop", south of ranked Bishop Rock might also be worth checking out if you're not interested in Banner - it goes 5.7 at its easiest I think.

Looks like I am getting roped into a bigger project for the weekend and will most likely have to bail on Bishop.

I love these peaks (minus Banner), but I am heading south for the weekend to board at Wolf Creek. This is Erin's last free weekend before she starts school.

I do feel bad.

some things line up once a year or so, Bishop is easier to reschedule.

When should we shoot for a reschedule? This coming weekend is out for me.

not sure, the dam 14ers in winter thing might get in my way.

so, why don't the 14ers get more weight for the awards? especially winter. :?

I'd really like to get Erin up Sheeprock (JeffCo) this winter if there is no snow down there. Dwight - you'd enjoy that one, too. I need to bring my hammerdrill with to replace a recalled death bolt and install a new rappel bolt at the top of the pitch. If it goes well, we can traverse over to Cheesman Overlook and S. Cheesman and Southern Comfort - I'd really like to repeat all of those highly enjoyable summits. Dwight - you'd dig them all.

They do if your goal is to win the highest average elevation award. Maybe I should also introduce a sum of elevation category - (the weighting is in tandem with the elevation)
