John,

I just "worked" for 30 minutes going through all of the categories you've come up with for Team LOJ. It's awesome.

Sign me up for next year. Regardless of how many peaks I do next year, all of these categories will make it even more fun and interesting.

John

The "guest" post was mine. I thought I was logged in. I guess not.

Sorry about that one.

Is there any data for LOJ first ascents prior to 2008? I probably did a few of these from 04-07. Again, this runs into the date validation problem, and of course probably none of these are "true" first ascents, but it'd still be neat to see the numbers.

Give it a whirl now. Looks like you lead for 2002-2005 and 2007.

On a similar subject, I think I'll build a page to search for first ascent dates, which will also show if there are unvalidated dates where no one gets credit.

I'm interested, hopefully California is dialed in by then, but if not I should still be able to contribute with Nevada, and CA 12K+, 2K+ prom, and COHP's

Haven't seen/heard much interest in this for quite some time, so the teams stats tracking idea should probably manifest itself as individual stats instead.

Take a peek at 2008 winners (15 categories):

Put one up (linked at the top of the ascents page), but the data set is lacking, especially for states other than CO. CO probably includes at least 75% of the real P300 list.

What we really need is more data on what peaks (esp. outside CO) are 5th class...

The link is at the top of the page that shows 5th class ascents - ie. the top of this page:

thats a little round about don't you think? It is "nearly" impossible to find from the main page. It seems like a list i might want to look at more than once.

ya I know, you threw it together pretty fast, thanks.

While we're on the subject Mr. Sunwall... any interest in Bishop Rock or Cheesman Mtn and The Castle in the coming weeks?
