What is even more crazy is all the repeats and unranked peaks he has in addition to that number! Just his unranked peaks in Colorado add another 1000!!

It looks like he has 3742 ranked peaks logged and 5007 total peaks logged.

Ahh, you are correct! Looks like his repeat peaks add up to 542. So we could add that onto the 5007 to come up with the number of times he has stood on a LOJ summit.

We've all heard--and made--the prominent vs non-prominent argument: some "Prominent" peaks are cake walks, with easy slopes, nice trails and even roads leading to the summit while some "Non-prominent" peaks are brutally hard to climb. Bottom line: a mountain is a mountain. All of us know the feeling of accomplishment--and sometimes of exhilaration--that comes with topping out. Mike has known that feeling five thousand times. A stunning feat. Hats off to him.

Indeed, pretty incredible. He's still out there doing new ones too and hopefully will be for awhile. Nice work Mike!
