Mt Davis NH

Mt Davis NH http://listsofjohn.com/PeakStats/Climbers.php?Id=100622 is a fine rocky summit with views all around, but it's rarely hiked because it will take about half an hour of thick bushwhacking from the closest trail on the S peak. http://listsofjohn.com/PeakStats/mapf.p ... 9&z=16&t=m The issue with ListsofJohn is that some maps show a trail to the summit and it appears on the "52 With A View" list of trailed peaks - the list-baggers presumably just go to the S peak but on LoJ that list links to the true summit and the S summit doesn't appear due to lack of prominence.

My suggested fix is to change the entry for Mt Davis to Davis-south or Davis-bogus so that the link to 52wav and the completers remain attached. Then create a new entry for Mt Davis - anyone who has been to the true summit will have to re-claim it but I'll bet they've also been to the S summit so moving that entry isn't a problem.

That sounds fine to me Roy, if John is willing to add the proper peak to the database. The far less than ideal alternative might be that I add a note to the list describing the discrepancy.

Mt Paugus also

Somebody has pointed out yet another error ion the 52WAV list:
http://listsofjohn.com/PeakStats/Conten ... php?lid=48

All the peaks on this list are required to have trails, hence they don't climb the true Mt Paugus but rather the S summit at 3140'
http://listsofjohn.com/PeakStats/mapf.p ... 1&z=16&t=m

I suggest the same fix as Mt Davis - rename the present Mt Paugus as "bogus Paugus" and change elevation and coords, then create new entry for the true Mt Paugus so those relative few who have climbed it can log it
