Missing NC 5er?

Postby Sarah Simon » Thu Mar 18, 2010 11:13 am

Hi John,

Great work on the NC mountains! That's one of my favorite places to visit.

It seems that a high NC 5er may be missing from your list: MacRae Peak on Grandfather Mountain.

"MacRae Peak" is an unofficial name that is the same location as officially named Raven Rocks:

The summitpost elevation is bogus to boot.

John,

Ah, interesting. I guess these things happen when mountains are privately owned (as is the case with this Grandfather Mountain area).

Cheers,
