How many peaks will you summit this winter?

More?

Hopefully more than last year, so long as I don't do anything stupid and hurt my knee (sprain) like last year. Less snow (or more consolidated snow) would be helpful.

I just looked at it and noticed I am not listed as having any winter peaks yet this year, are you not counting December 21st? I am pretty sure winter "officially" started in Colorado at 5.04am on the 21st, so I would think any summit that day would count. Just wondering your criteria for "start" (and finish, I guess) of winter. Thanks!

Winter is counted using the first full day, for a few reasons:

1) Exact time when summits were reached is not an option when members update.
2) Time zones differ for states/portions of states peaks are in.
3) The time winter begins for the same time zones differs from year to year.

Is it possible to build this in? Yes, but it would require far too much programming time. Feel free to post here what your true total is after winter officially ends.

Thanks John! I can see where it would be a programming nightmare to try and track it with all the different time zones. Using the first full day makes a lot of sense.

I don't climb much in winter as I mainly switch to skiing with my free time, its nice to get at least one peak a month in to keep my "streak" alive for consecutive months with a peak. I don't think these 2 peaks are going to "make or break" my stats in the winter ascents chase, I usually only get about 4 or 5 each winter anyway.
