Trip Report: Seven Utah 13ers in one day

Postby ultracrockett » Mon Jul 09, 2007 1:13 pm

Saturday I had the exciting experience summiting seven of the highest
peaks in Utah, all over 13,000 feet, in the Uinta Mountains. I did
this as a solo, unassisted run/hike from the trailhead without using a
base camp. I covered about 48 miles in 20 hours. Read my detailed
report at:

That's disgusting. Well done! I'm sure I will only dream (painfully) of doing such things. Good job!

Very cool - makes the 6 13ers in a day I did last week seem like childs play (Sawatch Range, CO). Of course Colorado has much better access via roads. Any regrets not taking on West Gunsight first? I did Kings 4 years ago and wasn't able to add on more peaks due to a terrible IT band problem, so will be returning some day for at least Gilbert, The Gunsights, South Kings and Henrys Fork.
