A few missing summits

Postby Scott Patterson » Wed Apr 17, 2019 3:55 pm

Tatahatso Point is on the topo maps (and several other maps) and isn't on LOJ yet.

Coordinates: 36.4184; -111.8544
Elevation: 5702
Prominence: 202 feet

(BGN seems to be down now, so I can't look up the classification).

Also a reminder that Aguille du Gieant is in the book Rock Climbing Utah:

Coordinates: 38.9030; -110.4528
Elevation: Elevation 5500
Prominence: 140 feet
YDS: 5.5

Thanks
Tatahatso is classed as a cliff, but there's room for interpretation. The HP is another matter, at 5771 here: https://listsofjohn.com/mapf?lat=36.4063&lon=-111.8610&z=15&t=c

I added "Aiguille" (not spelled "Aguille") here, and addressed the confusion with ascents and ratings:

Thanks. It's interesting that the USGS classified it as a cliff.
