Errors in NH Wilderness peak lists

Wilderness boundaries in the White Mountain National Forest were generally drawn to exclude the most popular trails and peaks which it was thought would be inappropriate to manage as Wilderness. So for instance the boundary of the Pemigewasset Wilderness is not the divide or the trail but set maybe 100 feet east of the Franconia Ridge Trail so the peaks on that trail are not within Wilderness and the highpoint is a liner not a summit. Similarly the summit of Carrigain is not within Wilderness or they couldn't have rebuilt the fire tower. On the ground, the Wilderness boundary signs on side trails will be found some distance downslope. You will find similar issues with Great Gulf Wilderness and Wild River Wilderness. The enabling legislation was too old for me to find online but maybe somebody else can.
