Published unofficial names for some Uinta Peaks

Here are some of the unofficial names for peaks as published in the Western Uinta Backcountry Guide (1997); which has an ISBN #. Whether or not you want to use them is up to you.

Ranked Peaks

Long BM is also known as Long Mountain at the trailhead map signs and in the book.

Updated. I made an educated guess that this peak is Cuberant:

Correct on both accounts. The Lofty Peak name is older than the Cutthroat Peak name. The Cutthroat Peak name was a mistake. I am the one who wrote that book back in 1996, but I missed the earlier Lofty Peak name (1958). I was going to correct this in the second edition, but I moved to Colorado so it never happened.

PS, I still have some copies of the 1st edition if someone wants them for free.
