Locally known as Hobbs Knob:

See sources:

I used to have a map that had the name too, but I don't think I have it anymore.

Unfortunately, the map I used to have that shows it is long gone. Besides photos in the previously mentioned link, about only place I know of where I can still find the names is on trip reports on the Wildcat Ridge:

https://www.google.com/?ion=1&espv=2#q= ... dcat+ridge

The peak is somewhat well known among those who like the ridge traverses in the Wasatch, because when reaching it, it means that the worse (or best depending on your point of view) is behind you when completing the Wildcat Ridge (one of the toughest ridge traverses in the Wasatch, even though it doesn't look like it on the map).

Also of interest, only the newest USGS map list Hobbs Peak, just to the west. Previously, it has always been locally known as Triangle Peak, including in the book below:

https://books.google.com/books?id=CCfEU ... angle+peak

I do have to wonder if the most recent USGS applied the Hobbs name to the wrong peak, but I actually don't know how they decided to apply the name Hobbs to the peak west of Hobbs Knob.

Anyway, I'll shoot ZeeJay and some of old timers in the Wasatch Mountain Club a PM/email and see if they can come up with a map. Either way, no big deal. I actually like peaks without names.
