Kirk Mallory completes the Utah 13ers and Nevada 12ers

Postby TeresaGergen » Fri Sep 05, 2014 6:42 pm

Kirk set out on a vacation with a goal of finishing the UT 13ers, and no sooner had, than he found another list to finish next door. I'm afraid I don't know too much about those 12ers, but the UT 13ers are all remote, rocky, include some scrambling, and for most mortals, all require backpacking, although Kirk pulled off at least one 30+ mile dayhike for a bunch of them one year. Congrats, Kirk! You're on a roll!

Thanks Teresa. Did I tell you there are only three twelvers in Nevada? They're all in the same area, and the weather was good here, so I decided to spend the rest of the week here. This may be the only time I can say "I climbed all the twelvers."

Nice work Kirk; that didn't take too long. Now what?

I think I'll just climb some peaks.
