Bonus WY summit

Postby TWorth » Sun Jun 01, 2014 9:45 pm

Walked up this after Pennock and it seemed to have some rise, so I checked map at home:

http://www.listsofjohn.com/qmap?lat=41. ... &t=u&P=300

The S edge of the high contour is a higher than the X9191, I'd say 9195.

Also the X8895 at the saddle isnt the low point, its down a bit to the N, as one would predict from the map. Maybe 8890?

Open top, good views of Northern Park range, Sierra Madre and Saratoga area. Huge amount of snow still high in these northern ranges, but melting fast. -Tim W

That's really sweet. We just witnessed the birth of a peak. Nice work TWorth. I enjoyed reading the NOTE John. Keep'em coming...JP

Thanks, its rare to find summits not in the database these days. But I still look closely at maps, like when we were first compiling these lists.

Couple more small adjustments:

For: http://www.listsofjohn.com/peak/20875

Better saddle here:
http://www.listsofjohn.com/qmap?lat=38. ... &t=u&P=300

This possible "S" below looks difficult. One of the contours at the saddle disappears, so looks like 10540 for saddle.
