John Thompson Completes Three Northeast Lists

Postby wayfarer » Sun Jun 16, 2013 9:12 pm

A big congratulations to John Thompson for finishing three separate Northeast lists today! He made a simultaneous completion of the New England and Northeast 100 Most Prominent atop Vermont's Peak 2110, aka West Rutland Peak, aka "Hanley's Peak". As far as I can determine, he joins Roy Schweiker to become only the second person to complete the New England 100 Finest and is the first person to finish the Northeast 100 Finest. He then capped off the day by bagging Pitcher Mountain and Federal Hill in New Hampshire to also complete the New Hampshire Fire Tower Quest list.

Congrats again John!

Congratulations John! Those are some huge lists with very difficult peaks. Now you will have switch to Quebec's 50 Finest to expand your horizons. :please:

2110? I had to look that one up! A NE 100-top-prominent, and only three listed ascents, now. Congrats to John. Nice work!
